Educational technology for students with special needs

Ever since I was introduced to technology in the classroom I fell in love immediately. The more I was interested in special education the more I looked into interactive technology. In my classroom right now I use a series of sites that my students use. I access www.discoverykids.com and http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/ these sites provide a variety of options and choices for my students to work with and then become independent with. The advantage of doing these sites on the interactive white board is the students literally get to see basic skills done in the "big picture". Students in my classroom have improved and excel in this department. Watching my student improve and catch on with permanent skills is the greatest feeling as a teacher.
